Volunteering in Cornwall

At Tesco St Austell we are helping put people who would like to volunteer, in touch with those Charities and Organisations that need help.

Tesco Community Fair September 12th

If you didn’t come to our first fair last year, there's a chance to come to our second one on Sept 12th.

There will be lots of Charities and suppliers giving things away, entertainment and music.

THE GREAT TOUR Sept 2nd

Tesco is sponsoring stages 62 & 63 of The Great Tour, (www.thegreattour.org), and up to 40 cyclists will be passing the store just before lunchtime on their way from St Mawes to Torpoint. Some of them have cycled from Seaton, Devon all the way up the coast to scotland,. down the west coast, along the Welsh coast, and then down to Cornwall, and they will be finishing on Sept 4th back in Seaton. This is all in aid of PROSTATE CANCER and Caravan, the Grocery Trades Benevolent fund.

Restormel District Neighbourhood Watch

Many areas of Restormel now benefit from Neighbourhood Watch schemes. As members of such a scheme, we can help to strengthen our community and help to keep our area a pleasant place in which to live.

Tanya’s Courage Trust

Tanya, a courageous seventeen year old, for the last 20 months of her short life fought Adult Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. Before being diagnosed and during remission Tanya lived life to the full, inspiring others with her courage and determination.

Whizz-Kidz - St Austell

Whizz-Kidz supports local disabled children and young people to live active and fun childhoods – by funding, and providing, mobility equipment, and through other opportunities such as wheelchair skills training, work placements and local ambassador groups.
